Kovacs, Rohrkemper, Hensley Lead Cedar Rapids in USHL Fall Classic

The MIHL would like to acknowledge and congratulate the following Michigan High School hockey players who are playing junior hockey in the USHL and the NAHL.  

The MIHL was well represented at the prominent Fall Classic in Sioux City, Iowa Sept 24 - 26, 2009. Three former MIHL players were on the roster for the Cedar Rapids Roughriders: Justin Kovacs (Grosse Pointe North), Eric Rohrkemper (Grosse Pointe North) and Steven Hensley (Detroit Catholic Central). They were all instrumental in the helping the team post a perfect 3 – 0 record in the showcase.  The MIHL Co-MVP's for 2009, Mac Olson (U of D Jesuit/Chicago) and Brent Darnell (Detroit Catholic Central/Sioux Falls) each netted goals in the tournament.  Matt Wahl, Cranbrook's 2009 1st team, All MIHL defensemen selection, made a successful debut with the Omaha Lancers as well.
