The Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League (MIHL) is holding its second of two Mini Showcases Tuesday, January 13th at the Eddie Edgar Arena in Livonia.  The Mini Showcase will feature three MIHL games – Catholic Central vs Cranbrook, Brother Rice vs Port Huron Northern, U of D Jesuit vs Grosse Pointe North – and one non- league match up – De La Salle vs Livonia Churchill.  There are many reasons to hold the Mini Showcases according to Todd Johnson, Catholic Central’s Head Coach, “It is an opportunity to showcase our league, the individual teams and the talent and skills of our players.  Most of our teams have a long history with the Livonia Stevenson and Livonia Churchill teams – they are natural rivals, they participate in the MIHL Prep Showcase and, as a league, we respect their teams and coaches – so they were a natural to fill out the MIHL Mini Showcase schedule.”

The first MIHL Mini Showcase held in December was a success according to GP North Head Coach Scott Lock, “We met our objectives.  There were four exciting, competitive high school hockey games. The teams performed well and the fans and scouts were entertained.  We hope to duplicate it this time.”

Ticket prices for the Mini Showcase are:  Adults - $6.00 per day; seniors and students - $3.00 per day.
